Stanwood United Methodist Church will be hosting a potluck dinner for Claudine Kasongo, a graduate of Jamaa Letu Orphanage and also a college graduate. She is visiting the United States for two months this year and will be making stops throughout our conference during June. For the very first time we will be hosting a student from Jamaa Letu!
Please bring a potluck dish for the dinner. After the dinner, Claudine will make a presentation on her life at the orphanage. We have been sponsoring students at Jamaa Letu for many years; currently, members of our congregation and the United Methodist Women sponsor nine students.
